The Sims Life & Times

The Sims, as anyone who plays can attest, takes on a life of its own. I created this blog so I could keep track of my sim stories and share them with others. I've always wanted to write stories but unfortunately I'm not very good at it lol I am hoping that just as my house building has improved so will my storytelling abilities.

My main family is called the Snookers. My goal was to move 1 sim into Relfamtown and see how the population would grow. I hope you will follow along with me.
If you would like to see all the stories in the Relfamtown series then click on Snooker Chronicles to the left and start at the bottom of the list.

UPDATE - Well since I had a major meltdown and lost Relfamtown, the Snookers are now in Sim Heaven and there will not be anymore updates on them :-( Out of the bad comes good though and Tesime is a new neighbourhood that I created for the Test of Time challenge. I hope you will enjoy their stories as well !

Money Money Money : Round 7

Simoleans at a glance:

Round 7                         Cash on Hand                        House Value

Skin 1:
Stonegate                         §20,142                                §31,532
Lindt                                 §64,878                                §93,400

Skin 2/4:
Phan                                 §40,174                                §57,982

Skin 4:
Gallant                              §44,999                                §64,251
Benet                                §42,736                                §61,678

So far all my sims have stayed within their skin types.  As we go along I'm sure that will become more mixed.  I have calculated the money based on family name + combined family name. ie - BenetGallant new lot is counted under the Benet family fortune. The Lindt's are way out in front because 2 of their sons have already started their own families.  I still haven't decided how to determine the heirs yet though. The rules state oldest child but I decided to move them out to start their own lot to speed the game up so it will have to be one of the younger ones. Also this means that the starter sims will be elders on the family lot and can then help care for any new grandkids that come along.  How have you picked your heirs?

Most of my families only have 1 boy, so it's not hard to chose, but otherwise, I'd pick my heir just randomly, probably the youngest boy, and move the others out.

I had a set of twins, so I made them play rock, paper, scissors and the made the loser move out.

LoL, rock paper scissors, that's a good one; I'll have to remember that if I'm ever stuck. Generally I choose the favourites, which I often find are the second oldest boys, and on occasion the last, like has happened with one family in this latest generation (3); I prefer his personality over the older boys, that and his skin tone is exactly what I want to try and keep for that family. The only ones I TRY to keep the eldest for regardless of my love for them is the original family lines >_> I often fail... as proven with my Gen2 Faulkner family, yes, you keep thinking YOU control the SIMS o.o

Rock paper scissors is a great option !! Last week when I was trying to determine which guys would be lucky enough to get the girls ( of course there were more boys than girls ! ) I wrote their names on scraps of paper and had my husband pick lol that way I didnt feel it was my fault whoever came up.

I am really interested in the genetics as well !
