The Sims Life & Times

The Sims, as anyone who plays can attest, takes on a life of its own. I created this blog so I could keep track of my sim stories and share them with others. I've always wanted to write stories but unfortunately I'm not very good at it lol I am hoping that just as my house building has improved so will my storytelling abilities.

My main family is called the Snookers. My goal was to move 1 sim into Relfamtown and see how the population would grow. I hope you will follow along with me.
If you would like to see all the stories in the Relfamtown series then click on Snooker Chronicles to the left and start at the bottom of the list.

UPDATE - Well since I had a major meltdown and lost Relfamtown, the Snookers are now in Sim Heaven and there will not be anymore updates on them :-( Out of the bad comes good though and Tesime is a new neighbourhood that I created for the Test of Time challenge. I hope you will enjoy their stories as well !

Tesime - Round Nine : The Lindt-Stonegate chapter

Ever the romantics, Liam and Summer were prone to severe cases of PDA. Of course you cannot fool around with Mother Nature and not expect her to shower you with gifts! Baby tossing was becoming a very popular event at aging ceremonies as Ericka and Abigail grew into toddlers. Now that the kids were older Liam and Summer were able to spend more time playing with them. They were such a joy to be around. Heavy with a baby in her belly it was time for the family to meet the new child. A boy ! Welcome to Tesime Joel.

Ahoy Anna! *waves* it's so exciting to see the new generation of babies appearing XD Just think, once they reach adulthood you can move into the Roman Era! If you're going that way, or are you waiting for the next gen after that? I love the "baby toss" haha >.< such an artistic photo! Are you getting interesting genetics yet?

Hoi Hoi! Yes I am counting these kids as the gen 3ers so it shouldnt be long now before I join the Roman era. How are things going with you? Have you been playing much? I started to use simpe for the genetics and that has been great ! No more second guessing what colour eyes each one has lol

That's great! Now I'm even more excited! XD I overdid it and ended up taking a very long break, until recently I was going through my pictures folder and randomly clicked on a few Tempus families and thought >.< I miss you guys! I want to see what you're getting up to! I actually stopped halfway through the LAST family for Round 14 >_> *shaking head at self* I dunno... As I'm on holidays for a few weeks I'm trying to get through Round 15, because come July I'm going to be working full time again >.< but that's okay, I'd rather go leisurely at the sims than burn out again. My Gen4 babies are coming out SO different it's sometimes confronting to see the babies pop out, I think O_o "are you SURE he's the father?" I have to check the family tree to see where the strange genetics are coming from - the great grandparents are making a comeback! ^_^ It's fun.

Oooooo burn out is very real Im afraid so there is nothing wrong with pacing yourself. You have so many sims to go thru as well that it is a daunting task to load up a family no doubt :-o

The summer has pulled me away for the past few weeks. Been busy in the garden - 1st year in our "new" house so seeing what people before us have planted and getting our veggie garden underway. Its been so much fun !

Then Diablo 3 came out and hubby gave me a guest pass and the next day I went out and bought it too lol so thats been eating up some of my gaming time. But I will be back at it soon for sure. When I load Tesime I try to play the family until at least 6pm so they age one day minimum before shutting it down. That seems to help move things along :-D Im very happy to see you are still here with me !

Absolutely! ^_^ I drift in and out but just 2 weeks away from my 2 year anniversary since starting this game I don't think I'm going anywhere! I'm glad you're still going too; it's really good to have a sort of partner in crime LoL

Other games are bad tsk tsk, much like real life huh =P I really enjoy the sims 3, so when I haven't played for a while, I go and play TS3 and then get sucked in at how wonderful it is, and then I get over it, get back to TS2 think how wonderful THAT is, and so the cycle goes, LoL I can't take anymore games I wouldn't get anything done! XD

Winter started here with a bang today pouring all last night and all today and probably all tonight as well. We need it so it's all good! Wish it was summer again already though, Autumn was cold enough DX I want to be in the garden too!

I've been managing to play 2 to 3 families a day, some I whiz through, others take some time depending on their society station and how big the family, and amazingly enough after a week of this I'm halfway through Round 15! I wonder if I'll last another week though? =/ I'm going for it! Wish me luck! XD
