The Sims Life & Times

The Sims, as anyone who plays can attest, takes on a life of its own. I created this blog so I could keep track of my sim stories and share them with others. I've always wanted to write stories but unfortunately I'm not very good at it lol I am hoping that just as my house building has improved so will my storytelling abilities.

My main family is called the Snookers. My goal was to move 1 sim into Relfamtown and see how the population would grow. I hope you will follow along with me.
If you would like to see all the stories in the Relfamtown series then click on Snooker Chronicles to the left and start at the bottom of the list.

UPDATE - Well since I had a major meltdown and lost Relfamtown, the Snookers are now in Sim Heaven and there will not be anymore updates on them :-( Out of the bad comes good though and Tesime is a new neighbourhood that I created for the Test of Time challenge. I hope you will enjoy their stories as well !

SimSwap Pets Challenge - Igabel Family

The goal of this challenge was to have a 5th generation heir/heiress pet born which must be able to be linked back to the original founder.

This is my mom Anime Igabel. She decided to move to the country when she was really young with Ante, her cat. As you can see Anime did things in her own way.

Not wanting to take a conventional job mom decided to open a shop. She would only sell items that pets could use and hoped it would be enough to make ends meet. Her and Ante did not need much but the little shack they lived in could do with some upgrading. While talking to one of her customers she learned of a company that was looking to hire a cat for a commercial. Since everyone loved Ante and thought she was the "cats meow" Anime sent her for an audition.

Of course Ante was a hit and got the job ! With the extra money coming in mom was able to add some things to the house like a real bathroom. Space was definately at a premium.

Mom loved cats ! If she knew a cat was a stray then she had to make friends and adopt it. Before long there were little kittens running around. Benny and Ante had hit it off and produced the most precious babies - Kleokatra, Rover and Spot.

Around this time Mom started going out with Joe Carr. He was a nice guy she said but not really marriage material. Of course before she knew it she was "in the family way" with me. She certainly didn't mind since her clock was ticking so loud it was keeping her awake at nite.

Here I am at my 3rd birthday. Mom always made me feel special even though most times it was just the 2 of us. There weren't many people living close by. Of course the bevy of cats we were collecting kept us company !

By this time things were improving vastly. Our house was expanding as was the business Mom started. Money was no longer a problem and the pets were reaching the top of their careers and learning lots of commands.

With the good must come the bad. Mom celebrated her birthday and was now a very striking looking elder and her first cat Ante got a call from the great big cat playhouse in the sky. RIP Ante we love you !

That next year was an eventful one for me. I finally became a teenager which was great as I could then help mom out in the shop more often. She had been feeling ill and could use all the help I could give her. Not long after that one day she had a heart attack and died. We all took it very hard.

I made it through high school which I know Mom would have been so proud of ! Then I could devote my time to the cats who were growing in ranks and the business. By this time Kleokatra had met Sweets and they had Slash and Slash had grown up to have Gary and Daisy with Kim. My how times flies when there are kittens around ! It was at this time I added a graveyard to the garden. I wanted a nice place for Mom and the cats to rest in peace and then I could visit them whenever I liked.

Daisy was an acrobat ! I actually thought about sending her to join the circus. Instead she had Kodi and Trixie with Gary which completed this challenge of having a 5th generation heir and heiress born.

Final score:

extreme start - 10 pts
8 cats made it to the top of their career - 4 pts
8 kittens born on the lot - 8 pts
1 stray moved in - 1 pt
3 tombstones - 1 1/2 pts
lot worth §142,744 - 14 pts

Total points 38 1/2

Granny plays dead

Snooker Chronicles - Georgina part 1

Welcome to Relfamtown. This desert town was just the oasis that Georgina was looking for. Being slightly obsessed with wild west novels while she was growing up, Gina as she was affectionately known, was always intrigued with the "wild blue yonder". She thought it was a very romantic thing to do and always hoped that one day she would get her chance to join the ranks and make her mark on a new community. Here you will read about her trials and tribulations. Welcome to Relfamtown.....

The bus which stopped in the middle of nowhere made her question her childhood fantasies. There was a realtor's office across the street so that was her first stop. Since money was in short supply Gina bought a small little house out in the burbs. Oh yes, she might think this little town with the 1 bus stop was small but wait until she took a taxi to her new home ! The cozy green house was the only one she saw. It was rather cute tho so she jumped out of the cab and ran inside to have a look around.

Soon Gina found a job at a cosmetics company - La Beaute. She spent her days being a guinea pig testing out new makeup because the company advertised they didn't test on animals. Before long she got a promotion and then another. There were not alot of other people around Relfamtown but Gina did find herself attracted to a guy named Remington. It didn't hurt that he was her maid and she got to see him every day.

They got along so well in fact that before long they were engaged, married and enjoying all benefits that go with it. Gina kept it in the back of her mind that she wanted to make her mark on this town and that meant having kids. La Beaute had a really good maternity program and Gina was hoping to take advantage of it at least 3 times ! Of course that would mean lots of University tuition and there were always scholarships from La Fiesta Tech.

It wasn't long before Gina started to feel a little ill. Of course she was hoping this was morning sickness and not the shrimp she ate at the restaurant last night.

Sure enough over the years Gina eventually got her 3 little babies ! Christopher was the first born and of course a lot of hope was placed on him to do well in the community and to carry on the Snooker family name. Next came Alexis. She was Remy's little princess. He adored her and wasn't in any hurry for her to grow up. And last but certainly not least came Duncan. He was a free spirit who loved a good adventure.

Backtrack a little and as more promotions came along and after Alexis was born the Snookers knew they needed more room. Just up the street a new house had been built. It was a huge place that could hold them all as the family grew. Gladly they packed up the last of their belongings and with not much left in their pockets after the new mortgage headed off to the Bird House as it was called.

The years passed with many milestones occurring inside and outside those pelican pink walls. The children grew and Gina and Remy planned for their future when it would be time for them to attend University. The kids seemed very happy and couldn't wait to get started on their lives. When they became teenagers they all had great parties and grew into wonderful young adults !

Stay tuned for the next chapter of the Snooker Chronicles..........
