Tesime - Round Eight : The Stonegate chapter

Trouble never seemed to be far from the Stonegate's front door. Food stocks ran low and hunger threatened the family. Not only the humans were having this problem though, as animals began to hunt closer to the village for the first time ever. While trying to catch some butterflies one afternoon Dawn got too close to the edge of the forest and a momma bear jumped out and grabbed her. Dad Jared ran to get his fighting stick but by the time he got back to where Dawn had been she was gone for good. Jared and April were devastated by the loss. They never thought they would be as sad as when they lost Cruz to the great fire but they were wrong.

Older brother Marcus tried to spend more time with May hoping it would ease her sorrow. Mom April on the other hand felt that stretching and moving around would be her cure. This was the first recorded case of using yoga and jogging to ease depression. Of course the jogging might have been her way to ensure she could outrun any future bear attacks !

April came across the ghost of her youngest son Cruz one night. Marcus heard her scream and thinking it might have been another bear rushed to scare it off. Unfortunately it was him that got the scare ! There in the road between the hut and the ocean stood what looked like a man but was covered in hair like an animal. While it looked dangerous it did not make any attempt to attack so Marcus watched it for awhile. The manimal was startled by the ghost of Cruz and ran off. Thus legend of Big Foot began.

Tesime - Round Eight : The Benet chapter

As a child, Ida Benet spent enough time in the garden to increase her knowledge of plants. This was a helpful skill to have as you can imagine ! Meanwhile growing like a weed himself, Benito aged into a child. He is the youngest of the Benet clan so this was a bitter sweet moment for his mom, Belle. The population of Tesime was growing, but so far they were not aware of any outsiders living among the residents. As the family was about to learn though there is always someone out to screw you over !

One night as they slept their innocent sleep and dreamed their innocent dreams a dark figure snuck onto the lot and took several of their meager possessions. The whole island was shocked that such a thing could happen and they took it upon themselves to search the forests to see if they could find the scoundrel. Poor little Ida seemed to take it the worse and cried herself to sleep for many nights. Even her father, Skalton, could not comfort his little girl. When she aged to a teenager her parents could finally see a change in her. Thankfully she began to smile again.

It was the rainy season in Tesime and the Benet's found out first hand just how destructive mother nature can be. As the rain poured out of the sky, lightning struck a tree at the edge of the forest. Running to see the damage Skalton, Ida and Tre Gallant watched helplessly as a tree began to burn. Thankfully the driving rain came to their aid and the fire was quickly extinguished. Unfortunately lightning does indeed strike twice ! Later while Benito was out tending the garden another bolt set fire to a tree. Being a curious kid he ran over to see what was going on but he could not get very close as the flames raged. Hearing the commotion Skalton and Belle ran to see what was happening. Acting quickly and thankful they had a pond on their land, they ran to fill their animal bladders with water to douse the fire. It took a huge effort as the hot spots continued to ignite but they finally succeeded in saving their homestead. Realizing how close death actually was to their doorstep Skalton and Belle decided to celebrate life !

Tesime - Round Eight : The Gallant chapter

What started out as a perfect day to have an island party soon took a turn for the worse. The Gallant's had invited friends over for a day of fishing and frolicking but the sun, having other plans, ran behind some very ferocious looking clouds instead. Then the sky opened up and lightning descended almost killing poor little Dawn Stonegate and River Gallant. River, having just aged to a child was not very happy to say the least. Having survived the bears for this long, he had no intention of being taken out by the bolts from the sky. Being mostly sunshine folks everyone headed home to try to stay dry until the rain ended. Four days later ( Noah was going to have a run for his money it looked like ! ) everything was drenched and all the plants sopping wet. Once the family could walk around their land without sinking up to their kneecaps they got to work trying to salvage what they could.

Skye Gallant soon aged to a teenager and struck up a budding friendship with Mykelti Phan. They got along famously and spent many a day hanging out by the pond talking about the birds and the bees. Wanting to impress him further she asked her mother Rose for some cooking tips. After much practising on her family she invited Mykelti around for a meal one evening. Mykelti and her younger brother, River, got along well which was a good thing. In this day and age having other men to call upon to help around the home was a godsend. Once everyone had gone to bed the young couple sat inside for some quiet time. Soon the chemistry was too much to ignore and cuddling ensued. It was safe to say that Mykelti was very interested in Skye !

So far all my sims have stayed within their skin types.  As we go along I'm sure that will become more mixed.  I have calculated the money based on family name + combined family name. ie - BenetGallant new lot is counted under the Benet family fortune. The Lindt's are way out in front because 2 of their sons have already started their own families.  I still haven't decided how to determine the heirs yet though. The rules state oldest child but I decided to move them out to start their own lot to speed the game up so it will have to be one of the younger ones. Also this means that the starter sims will be elders on the family lot and can then help care for any new grandkids that come along.  How have you picked your heirs?

Tesime - Round Seven: Introducing The Phan-Benet chapter

Ping Phan thought he was the luckiest man in the world to have Frida Benet as his mate. Her velvety chocolate skin, sparkling hazel eyes and long blond hair turned his heart to mush. The Phan's were more than happy to show their support and everyone came by for a fish fry and some visiting. Worn out from all the excitement of the day Ping recounted some of his favourite tales while Frida drifted off to sleep. Even though Ping was a little older than Frida he wanted to be sure that she was ready and willing to share his martial bed. So while they were getting to know one another they slept separately. That didn't stop Ping from falling head over heels in love with his one and only though. He was always ready to show Frida his affection and she in turn was swept off her feet.

Tesime - Round Seven: Introducing The Lindt-Stonegate2 chapter

Welcome to the second Lindt-Stonegate domicile. Gideon Lindt and Juno Stonegate are the siblings of Liam and Summer. Surely you have not forgotten the scandalous events of their update ?

Juno is a free loving type of gal and even though she had her first kiss with Liam, she didn't think Gideon was too hard on the eyes either. Of course when a gal gets her heart set on a man it is hard to shake the desire it brings. Like all good Tesimites, Juno grew up worshipping the different gods and decided to use their power to bring Liam around. After discreetly asking around the island about what would be required she gathered the ingredients and prayed to Abelone, the goddess of love. In her trance she did not notice the hail that fell from the sky. Gideon who was out at a nearby fishing hole had to duck and run for cover so he wasn't maimed. Once the chanting was over Juno released the fireflies as instructed. According to legend the fireflies would find her true love and then they would be together forever.

Of course folklore, spells, and divine intervention work on their own timeline so Juno had nothing else to do but go about her life. Chores on your own plot of land were not done by magical elves so she pitched in and helped Gideon with the gardening. Life was settling nicely and they were getting along well with each other and the extendafamilies. As the weeks went by Juno realized if you can't be with the one you love - love the one you're with.

Tesime - Round Seven: Introducing The Lindt-Stonegate chapter

And here we have our first skin 1 couple ! Liam Lindt and Summer Stonegate looked like the perfect couple. When they first moved in they took to each other like ducks to water. As teens do they amused themselves with simple caveman games - rock, frond, axe was a great way to pass the time. Now that the old folks were not around to look after them they had to get by on their own skills. Summer was keen on looking after her new mate but it would take some time to become an excellent cook like her mother. Liam really tried to make the best of it. All this alone time began to take its course and teenage hormones were soon running wild ! This made Summer think of what was in store for the young lovers.

She was so excited when her younger sister, Juno, dropped by for a visit ! It seemed Liam was overly interested as well :-O As the days passed Juno would make excuses to visit their lot more frequently. Liam was always sure to stick around to entertain his almost wife's lovely sister. Summer being so in love did not really pay too much mind even though there were some obvious signs. Then one starlit night while Summer was sleeping in the hut dreaming of her perfect mate, Liam and Juno sat outside gazing into each others love filled eyes. The world seemed to move in slow motion as they realized the feelings they had for each other and they could not deny them any longer. Liam reached out and pulled Juno into his arms for their very first kiss.
